The Nurse Anesthetist administers anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures for all age groups – neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients following medically approved techniques under the professional direction of an anesthesiologist or surgeon.
Schedule: PRN; as needed
Current Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the AANA Council on Certification or eligible for certification.
Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
Current Verification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Member of the AANA (optional).
Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS. NRP certification on hire or within 6 months of hire date.
Current Credentials / Reappointment per IHS Bylaws.
Successful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientation.
