MMC North · Anesthesia North Guntersville, AL Professional Full Time, Days, M-FR with Call Posted 09/30/2020 Req # 3626 The practice of Anesthesia is a recognized specialty within the profession of Nursing.  Anesthesia is the art and science of rendering a patient insensible to pain by the administration of anesthetic agents and related drugs and procedures.  As independently licensed health professionals, CRNAs are responsible and accountable for their practice.  He/She is responsible for giving total anesthesia care to patients requiring anesthesia services.                                                                              Education/License/Certification/Experience Requirements: • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia. • Must have a current Alabama nursing license  • Must have a current Advanced Practice license from the Alabama Board of Nursing • Member in good standing with current certifications by the AANA. Must maintain ACLS and BLS certifications Consideration may be given to an individual with a current Alabama license as an R.N. who has graduated from an approved school of anesthesia who is eligible to sit for the anesthesia examination. Skills preferable for the job of CRNA at MMCS include all types of regional anesthetic techniques including but not limited to epidurals, Bier blocks, interscalene blocks, subarachnoid blocks, as well as general anesthetics.
